Three Dresses; Two Black, One Blue, 1940s
This lot includes three dresses.
THE FIRST
Black crepe back satin evening dress in horizontal stripes with a bloused top embellished with faceted sequins and beads, hip flounce with bow, and flared skirt.

Dark blue crepe short sleeve dress with pleat detail on bodice and skirt.

Condition:THE FIRSTThe overall condition is very good structurally though there is slight discoloration on the interior neckline facing, a small white spot on the back skirt, and it appears to be missing a belt. THE SECONDThe overall condition is fair with clear signs of alterations along the back bodice darts, the side zipper closure has been replaced with a newer zipper, there are two mended holes in the back left skirt and several abrasions, and the hem has come undone in large portions. THE THIRDThe overall condition is good with a large white spot on the front right neckline near shoulder as well as two smaller white spots on the hips of the skirt. There is a small seam separation on the front right neckline at shoulder along with loose threads on the sleeve cap. There are two darts along the back neckline that were added after initial construction, and it appears to be missing a belt. Everything is sold 'As Is'. The stated overall condition of the lot is based on the assumption that the wear is consistent with age and use. All other condition issues are stated above.
