Seven Geoffrey Beene Embroidery Samples, 1980-90s
Assorted embroidery samples from the Geoffrey Beene Archive. All of these samples are on embroidered, but unfinished pattern pieces. The samples includes:
- A set of richly embroidered sleeves in green and black thread, sequins and beads in cut leaves.
- A single sleeve that matches the above description, but in brown.
- A pointed belt of black sequins with red and yellow flowers in sequins and beads.
- A double sided collar and two plackets on black sheer fabric embroidered with copper sequins. The sequins are embroidered to shape and are waiting to be cut and turned into a collar and placket.
- An uncut sleeve on black net with a richly embroidered hem of gold and black sequins.
- Two panels of sheer orange fabric with richly embroidered pattern pieces that appear to be for a strapless bodice or similar garment. One of the panels has two pieces pinned together.
