Minor craquelure throughout consistent with age. Appears to be remnants of an adhesive substance to the upper right corner along the horizontal edge of the frame, as well as abrasions to the lower right corner along the vertical edge of the frame. Examination under UV light reveals a heavy milky varnish that partially obscures sight of restoration or retouch. There are instances of overpainting throughout, particuarly evident on the pictured fireplace, ceiling and stairs, as well as to the body of the seated man and the lap of the nursing woman.
