ELGIN, GOLD-FILLED OPEN FACE POCKET WATCH
49.00 mm case diameter, white dial, black Arabic numerals, subdial for seconds at 6 o'clock, stem wound and set 17 jewel nickel movement signed ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO., foliate engraved bezel and case back with initial cartouche.
Inner case back stamp: Illinois WATCH CASE CO. ELGIN U.S.A. GUARANTEED 20 YEARS GIANT 1889306.
Movement stamp: 15682841.

Overall Condition: The watch winds and sets but is not running at the time of cataloguing but has not been timed for accuracy. The edge of the crystal is abraded and some of the detail in the engraving has been lost due to wear. The inner case back has personalized engraving reading: MOTHER AND FATHER RO Chas. Sept 1911.
