early 20th century
the shaped top of serpentine outline with an inset oval wood plaque painted to show a courting couple in 18th century attire, above the shaped frieze, raised on legs mounted with ram masks at the knees and ending in cast hoof sabots, stamped Made in Italy to the underside.
Height 21 3/8 x width 31 3/8 x depth 20 5/8 inches.
