Longfellow writes to see if his Illustrated Papers by the "American" have been sent yet. -- STOWE, Harriet Beecher (1811-1896). Autograph letter signed ("H.B. Stowe"), to Mr. Mason, Hartford, Connecticut, 27 October 1881. 2 pages, 8vo. Stowe writes a Thanksgiving story. "I am writing a short story in response to your request for another Sam Lawson." -- Together, 3 manuscripts.
