A Pair of Louis XV Giltwood Mirrors
18th century
each having an openwork crest carved to show foliate scrolls, roses, rocaille and C-scrolls above the oval mirror plate within the conforming frame.
Height 54 1/2 x width 26 inches.

Each in overall decent stable condition. Mirror plates with signs of age. Scattered chips and losses to gilt decoration exposing the underlying gesso. Each frame with repaired breaks, some separation to joints and losses. One crest ornament loose and attached to rest of frame with tied bands.
