each carved to show a grotesque mask flanked by C-scrolls suspending drapery above the ribbon tied stem entwined with vines terminating in a circular painted canvas panel, one example titled Horse Guards of Whitehall, the other example titled St. Paul's Cathedral, each signed W. A. Chase, titled and dated to stretcher.
