A Large Louis XV Style Giltwood Mirror
late 19th/early 20th century
the segmented crest carved to show rocaille, foliate scrolls and floral sprays above the shaped vertical mirror plate within a similarly carved frame.
Height 104 x width 62 1/2 inches.
Estimate $ 4,000-6,000
Overall in good condition and presentation. Visible crack to construction and minor loss to gilding showing gesso and red bole in places. There is some craquelure to the silvered backing of the mirror plate, toward the proper-right-middle and bottom-left sections. - Shipping Info
