possibly 10th-12th century
the figure depicted standing in samabangha, wearing a short sampot with fishtail pleat and a beaded necklace, the face having a subtle smile and almond shaped eyes, the hair draped over the shoulders and combed into a high chigon secured with a diadem, on a later black pedestal.
Height of figure 58 3/4 inches.

Overall decent and stable condition with erosion throughout consistent with age, use and exposure to the weather. Old scuffs and marks consistent with age and maybe transportation issues. Having small chips possibly due to erosion. One crack and restoration to the left leg. Some colored chalk residue to the lower body and the back.
