comprising a teapot, coffee pot on lampstand, creamer and two-handled sugar bowl, of urn form with ovolo and gadrooned borders, teapot and coffee pot with twin-tailed serpent handle terminals, the creamer and sugar bowl with handles formed as double serpents, each engraved with contemporary crests, the coffee pot with corresponding arms under a foliate mantle, marked throughout, maker's mark on base of coffee pot obscured; 114 ozt 6 dwt gross.

The handles on the sugar bowl, formed as two serpents with an egg in their mouths were designed by Thomas Hope, and are illustrated in his Household Furniture and Interior Decoration, pl. XL VII, originally published in 1807.
coffee pot with small ding to lower body, not through. old repair to underside of coffee pot obscuring maker's mark, but maker's mark on cover clear. stand good condition. teapot finial unmarked and top portion a little bent, probably had an ivory or wood knop below. light wear to gilt interiors of creamer and sugar. some light overall wear. engraved crests a little worn but legible. clear maker's marks throughout, aside from coffee pot.
