A Famille Rose Porcelain Snuff Bottle
likely jiaqing period (1796-1820)
of flattened quatrefoil form, finely painted to the front depicting a bird in flight above blossoming chrysanthemums, the reverse with peonies, the narrow sides decorated with lotus flower heads against a diaper ground, the recessed neck molded with a pair of gilt highlighted arch handles, the mouth painted with a band of ruyi, the underside bearing a Jiaqing four-character iron red seal mark, having a gilt bronze stopper.
