A Carved White Jade Figure of a Mythical Beast
19TH CENTURY of an even colored stone with russet inclusions, the animal figure depicted recumbent with all four tucked underneath, the head slightly turned to the right with detail carved eyes, eyebrows and ears, the body with a raised spine and a bushy tail flicked upward, together with a fitted hardwood stand. Length 2 3/4 inches.
