A Blue and White Porcelain Snuff Bottle
guangxu period (1875-1908)
of rectangular form, painted to each side depicting a child presenting a planter to a standing scholar, the narrow sides set with a pair of beast masks and mock rings, the underside bearing a four-character underglaze blue hall mark reading shen de tang zhi (made by the Hall for the Cultivation of Virtue), having a glass stopper.
Height 2 1/2 inches.
