The auction featuring items from the Saul Brandman Foundation. Mask in kaolin clay pigments on carved wood fabrication, made by the Baule tribe. Region oforigin: Côte d'Ivoire, Africa. This mask is a Guro mask, and it is in the form of theface of an antelope. It has two horns, and the nose and eyes are raised. The eyes are closed, and the mouth is open.The mask itself measures eighteen and three-quarters inches tall by six inches wide by six and one-quarter inches deep,and the ebony tone metal stand measures one-quarter of an inch tall by eight inches wide by eightinches deep.
