Technique: Stipple engraving on Paper, mounted on Paper
Inscription: Inscribed below the image in the printing plate "Class. 1st Printing" and "for the fine Arts of the English School".
Beautiful portrait, kneeler, John Manners, Marquess of Granby (1721 Kelham 1770 Scarborough); he was an extremely popular British Lieutenant-General among the population. Illustration for "The Fine Arts of the English School" (ed. John Britton, London 1810).
