Size: Paper: 21,8 cm x 16,2 cm (8,6 x 6,4 in), Depiction: 15,2 cm x 10,3 cm (6 x 4,1 in)
Description: inscribed "J. Salmon del.t.", "Jn. Shury&Son sc.", titled below "View near Theux/Pres de Theux/In der Nähe von Theux". Landscape depiction at the river near Theux, in the province of Liège. Figures can be seen in the foreground of the depiction, including a team of oxen, as well as male figures resting by the wayside. The group of figures in the foreground provides a view of the landscape, which is dominated by wooded hills and rocks.

Good condition. Minor foxing and discolouration all over. The upper and lower margins are rubbed and slightly damaged. A smaller tear at the upper margin, next to it three small holes, probably caused by an earlier hanging. The corners of the sheet are partly bumped. Discolourations on the reverse, especially in the area of the image.Condition
