Johann Leonhard Raab (1825 Schwaningen - 1899 Munich) after Anthonis van Dyck (1599 Antwerp - 1641 London): Portrait of a Dutch Nobleman, 19th century, Etching
Technique: Etching on Paper
Inscription: Inscribed below the image in the printing plate with "Van Dyk pinx. Fr. Felsing imp. J. L. Raab sculp." Full-length portrait of a nobleman. The sitter is looking at the viewer with a firm, penetrating expression. Impressive in the very precise graphic realisation with fine details and small hatching.
