Johann Georg Mentzel (1677 Leipzig - 1743 ibid.) after Unknown (18th century): Title page 'Caput Quintum De Iurisprudentia Ecclesiastica' with engraving, 1727, Copper engraving
Technique: Copper engraving on Paper
Inscription: Lower right signed in the printing plate: "Mentzel sculp.". Signed "Mentzel sc" on the right below the image. Johann Franz Buddeus (1667 Anklam - 1729 Gotha), the author of the book, was a German philosopher and Lutheran theologian close to Pietism.
