Ferdinand Piloty sen. (1786 Homburg - 1844 Munich) after Eustache Le Sueur (around 1616 - 1655 ): Christ being served by angels, incunabulum of lithography, c. 1811, Lithography
Technique: Lithography on Paper
Inscription: Signed at the bottom: "Le Sueur pinxt. // f: Pilotj del:", recorded in Winkler: Die Frühzeit der Deutschen Lithographie, No. 965, 29.5. / Dussler p.148 No. XXIX, 5. Munich 1811-16. Christ is seated in the centre left under a canopy on a stone bench, to his left three angels preparing food, in front of him one kneeling in reverence, behind him four others receive the food from three hovering in the upper right with a large table.
