Emmery Rondahl (1858 Vordingborg - 1914 Copenhagen): Landscape study, boats on the water, 1880, Pencil

Size: Paper: 11,2 cm x 19,0 cm (4,4 x 7,5 in)
Description: Dated "27 May 1880" in the lower right corner of the picture. On the verso are two figure studies, a boy sitting on a chair and a man with a top hat; there is also a beautiful plant study in the centre. The drawing comes from a collection of the Danish artist Rondahl, who made a name for himself especially as a draughtsman. He provided the designs for numerous historical, archaeological and literary writings.

Good condition. The sheet is slightly discoloured and foxed due to its age, slightly bumped at the edges in places; there is a liquid stain at the right edge of the sheet.Condition
