Anton Wachsmann (around 1765 Silesia - around 1836 Berlin) after C Giebelhausen (18th century): Portrait of Wilhelm Ludwig Gottlob von Eberstein, c. 1800, Copper engraving
Technique: Copper engraving on Paper
Inscription: Signed and dated below the image "C. Giebelhausen Dr. Med. Sangerhusae in Thur pinxit 1803 / Wachsmann sculp. Berolini". Below titled and with the sitter's life data. Portrait of the German writer and philosopher Wilhelm Ludwig Gottlob von Eberstein (* 1762 in Morungen - 1805 ibid.). The print comes from the famous house "Ludwig Rosenthal's Antiquariat", Munich.
