Description: Illustration from the multi-volume work on the history of Frederick the Great, written by Franz KUGLER (1808 Stettin-1858 Berlin). The depiction shows the King of Prussia dressed as a canon, sitting in a pulpit. While mass is taking place in the background, several armed figures can be seen in the foreground, hidden in the shadows, probably searching for the Prussian king.
