Description: Illustration from the multi-volume work on the history of Frederick the Great, written by Franz KUGLER (1808 Stettin-1858 Berlin). The depiction shows the king's military advisers who appear to be holding a meeting in front of spread-out plans and maps. In the background a library, its shelves bulging with books.
