Abraham Aubry (17th century): The five wise virgins receive Christ, the bridegroom, parable of Jesus according to Matthew 25:1-13 of the Bible, 18th century, Copper engraving
Technique: Copper engraving on Paper
Inscription: Below in the printing plate with German inscription.

Defective condition. Faintly soiled and pale stained on the margins. Along the upper and lower edge of the sheet several, partly very long marginal tears. These are restored by paper strips applied on the reverse. On the left side there is also a marginal tear, which has been restored by a paper strip on the verso. The corners of the sheet are damaged by bumps and creases. Single brown spots in the lower centre of the image. Small holes in the paper at the centre left margin.Condition
