Provenance: The Estate of a New York Lady.
Other Notes: Accompanied by a Fine Art Jewelry Certification signed by Erte that reads: "Erte first created 'Sophistication' as a costume design entitled 'Arctic Sea' for a 1925 production of George White's Scandals, New York. In 1981, the artist reinterpreted the same theme as a thirteen-screen signed, limited edition embossed and foil-stamped serigraph titled 'Arctic Sea'. In 1984, the artist again utilized the 'Arctic Sea' theme as the central design image for this fine art piece of jewelry, entitled 'Sophistication.'" - Shipping Info
