18K WHITE GOLD, SAPPHIRE, AND DIAMOND RING
centering a cushion mixed-cut sapphire measuring approx. 9.93 x 9.13 x 5.58 mm. and weighing approx. 4.45 cts. flanked by two triangular diamonds weighing approx. 0.75 cts. each; 3.15 dwts.; size 4
Provenance: The Estate of Jane Warren Jones of Greenwich, Connecticut and Toronto, Canada.
Other Notes: Accompanied by AGL report no. CS 1079761 dated November 15, 2016 stating that origin of the sapphire is Burma with no gemological evidence of heat.
According to her family, "Jane Warren Jones was an accomplished artist commissioned to paint portraits, but spent most of her time designing clothing from sweaters to formal evening gowns. The jewelry she wore was either custom made for her or purchased from jewelers considered by her and her peers to be the best in Greenwich and Toronto from the 1940s-60s. She only bought the highest quality stones, not for their monetary value, but for their appearance. As an artist, she was all about appearance and to her eye, only the best would do." - Shipping Info
