- Lot Description
Vintage Georg Jensen cake knife, item 196 in the Parallel pattern. This knife has a sterling silver handle and a stainless steel blade. This is the old type blade, with curved back, later blades had a different shape.The Parallel pattern, flatware design #25 was designed by Oscar Gundlach-Pedersen from 1931. The Parallel design has an exceptional dignity, the result of harmonious proportions combined with an apparent simple motif of parallel lines. There are alternative shapes for the dinner fork and dinner spoon. Style A set is longer and a more traditional design, Style B and C are more rounded and shorter.
