- Lot Description
This is a sterling silver Georg Jensen sugar & creamer, design #45A by Johan Rohde from 1915. This design often called “Cosmos”, this was the original sugar & creamer set, shortly after release the better known version with a lidded sugar bowl and ebony handled creamer was introduced. Both models were available for order, this model is by far rarer.
Sugar bowl #45A: measures 2 3/8″ in height, diameter at top 3 3/4″ (6cm, 9.4cm).
Cream jug #45A: 2 1/4″ in height, 2 7/8″ across an 5 1/4″ in length including the handle (5.6cm, 7.3cm x 13.2cm).
Hallmarks: Both pieces with vintage Georg Jensen hallmarks from 1933-1944.
