- Lot Description
This is a silver fish serving set by Copenhagen silversmith Poul Frigast. The handles are hand cut and chased, forming a scene of a fish swimming under water lilies. There is also a hand-cut fish on the serving parts.
The fish slice measures 10½” (26.5cm) in length, the fork is 9 1/4″ (23.5cm). Combined weight 9.5oz (270g).
Both pieces hallmarked on the back, a “F” inside a dotted circle and Copenhagen silver marks for 1937. Silver content not noted, but most likely 830s, which was the Danish standard.
