  Acrylic Painting on Canvas Artists: Masey Berman, Baron Boonswang, Laila Conn, Emma Duggan, Chase Gutowski, Florence Insana, Hayden Krieger, Caleb Lepisto, Kaia Nguyen, Samantha Shuster, Madilyn Slough, Amanda Vasquez and Thorsson Zhao The children in Ms. Laura's toddler class recreated a beloved scene from the children's book Not a Box by Antoinette Portis. Reading Not a Box has become a daily circle time story for the children this year. They love shouting out what the Not a Box is creating and using their imaginations to think up endless new Not a Box creations. After an intense discussion amongst themselves on which page they wanted to recreate, the children began their auction project by painting the sky using paint rollers. Once the sky was finished the children each chose a unique color that would represent them as they filled the Not a Box Rocketship, the Earth, and the two extra planets. The children each used only their index finger to put paint to canvas. For the final detail, each child took a turn stamping their own personal star throughout the Not a Box painting. *comes with a photobook showing from start to finish all the work the children put into making this piece* *comes with a key showing which color belongs to each child, along with a copy of the scene that was recreated from within the book*
