William Sommer (1867-1949) Roman Holiday, Ink and watercolor on paper, Signed and dated 1944 lower right. Marked in pencil on verso WS126. With original label. Framed dimensions: h: 18 x w: 21 3/4 in. H: 10 1/2 W: 14 1/4 in. Exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art 'William Sommer Memorial Exhibition,' 1950. Acquired directly from the artist by Arno Otto Bohme, a personal friend and neighbor.
Condition
Slight mat burn to outer margins, hinge mounted.
