- Lot Description
James Abbott McNeill Whistler (American, 1834-1903) San Biagio, 1879-1880, Etching, 8th state, Signed and titled in pencil lower left with the butterfly and inscription 'imp.' H: 8 1/4 W: 12 in.
Provenance: Second generation Cleveland collector.
Condition
Previous hinge tape remnants and glue residue to upper left and right margins on verso, pencil notifications to lower left and right margins on verso, two areas of foxing on verso, does not appear to be any rips or tears and all four margins are cut close to the plate.
