Untitled (Boardroom Table & Necklace),
Watercolor and pastel on paper,
Signed and dated lower right, inscribed "For Toby" lower left, both in pencil.
Paper Size: 7 1/4 x 10 in.
H: 9 1/4 W: 11 3/4 in.
Property from the Toby Devan Lewis Collection. Given to Toby as a thank-you for her friendship and support of my Yoder's work. 1997 was the year he made Rebus, a piece for Progressive's headquarters. It was his first permanent commission, and as the collection's curator Toby Devan Lewis tossed him the opportunity in the midst of giving a tour to the collection. He was visiting from NYC and joined the group at the last minute, so it was a lesson in how great things can arrive unexpectedly!
