A Violin After Andrea Guarneri Bearing Facsimile Label "Andreas Guarneri fecit Cremonae sub titulo Sanctae Teresiae 1673," Possibly a Mittenwald violin made circa 1750. Together with original case, two unmarked violin bows, replacement strings, chinrest, turning pegs and tools.
Length: 23 in.
Provenance: Purchased from Arpad Bognar (Hungary, 1890-1968), the First Violinist for the Cleveland Orchestra from c. 1924-1938 and member of the orchestra from c. 1922-1960, in c. 1940.
Note condition: minor restoration to surface and repairs. Loss and separation to upper right body.
