• Lot Description
  Vessel, lathe-turned, hollowed. Sabicu wood (Lysiloma sabicu), 8.5" high x 12.25"wide. Wood native to the Caribbean. Was once (1700s) a major furniture wood--search Sotheby's, sabicu, george III dressing commode, you will recognize the striations. Exploited to oblivion, no longer available commercially. My source, salvaged log, Michael Tisdale, Homestead, FL Finish is : tung oil/varnish mix; beeswax. Shipping continental US included in price.
