• Lot Description
  Vessel, lathe-turned, hollowed. African Padauk (Pterocarpus soyauxii) wood, 9" high x 10.5" wide. African Padauk is native to the tropical jungles of Western and Central Africa. I acquired the 14" x 12" x 12" block from a cut-off pile at a sawmill in Libreville, Gabon, and air freighted it with other blocks back to Wisconsin. Finish: wipe-on tung oil/varnish mix; beeswax. Shipping continental US included in price.
