• Lot Description
  Vessel, lathe-turned, hollowed. Cuban Mahogany (Swietenia maghogani) wood, 7.25"high x 8"wide. Log from the University of Miami Campus (Coral Gables, FL). The 200-year old tree was deteriorating from the top, so University officials had it removed. Michael Tisdale (Homestead, FL) carried out the removal, and he sold a 4-ft section to me. Finish is: tung oil/varnish mix; beeswax.
