  This collection of the artist's works are West Marin landscapes, buildings, and farms that are fast disappearing from this very special area of Northern California, and so are designed to become historical records.

  This painting is on canvas. The canvas is prepared with an acrylic outline of the featured details for emphasis and to give 3-dimensionality. Oil paints are applied in multiple layers with dry pigments rubbed in then light sanding between layers to create depth and color-overlay effects. The painting is then given a multi-coat varnish to add depth and intensify the colors.

  All paintings are mounted in a hand-made frame created by the artist. Most of the frames have hand-applied gold leafing for elegance and emphasis, and all of them are given multiple layers of varnish to add depth and longevity. Art unto themselves.
