RARE Pair Yuri Zatarain Sculptures from the Love Series, 2007.
The Love Story - According to the Legend, Eros the God of Encounter, gave man the gift of recognition. He would know his soul mate by reflection rather then by face. As she passed she would project the most beautiful shadow of all...
One day he met woman. He was fascinated by her beauty, he approached to whisper a secret in her ear.
Sombro, Lord of the shadows envied the couple and cast a spell which left the lovers without faces. Never again would they know one another. But when man saw her shadow he recognized his soul mate. The gift of love allowed them to find each other again.
Smaller piece measures 43" H x 14” W x 10" D and weighs 34.5 lbs.,
Larger piece measures 59" H x 11” W x 9 1/2" D and weighs 41 lbs.
