Autograph letter signed by J.E. Ferguson. Houston, [Texas], 18 January 1858. 4 pages, 4to.
An interesting letter and ledger reporting on the expenses related to six slaves. Mr. J.E. Ferguson writes to A. Fitzpatrick with an update on the health, work status, and other activities of several enslaved individuals. Notably, he includes a 2-page account from 28 November 1857 through to January 1858, amounting to $146.10.
