Robert Gottlieb Collection2023 - Shchukin Gallery Vladimir Nasedkin (b. 1954) is a Russian artist working in various media, including painting, graphic art, photography, sculpture, and installation. He considers himself simply an artist. Nasedkin began exhibiting his works in 1975 and has held more than 30 solo exhibitions. His participation in major international events includes the Venice Biennale (2011, "Joseph Brodsky. Venetian Stanzas. Vladimir Nasedkin. Xylography," an artist's book presented at the Ca' Foscari University of Venice) and the 5th Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (2013, in the parallel program "A Book On The Edge Of Contemporary Art"). Nasedkin's works are held in prominent collections, including the State Hermitage Museum, the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery, the Centre Pompidou in Paris, and the Albertina in Vienna, as well as in various private and institutional collections in Russia and abroad.Vladimir Nasedkin: "Lines of geometric figures I depict on engravings, carvings, drawings, photographs, and paintings reveal the nerve of contemporary worldwide culture.
