Born in Ibadan Oyo state, Nigeria, Gobe Joseph is an artist with strong interest in the relationship with self, nature and the immediate environment. He is a graduate of art from the Polytechnic of Ibadan, with a specialization in painting. His interaction with different people and materials in the ancient city of Ibadan propelled him towards his artistic career . His works are expressed in diverse mediums like acrylic and oil paint .His works portrait figures that result from meditation and artistic inspiration . His paintings are expressed with vibrant images which are all delivered in a strong artistic flavour . This is one of the great talents of Africa who has completed many residencies and has conducted a series of group and solo exhibitions on the continent . His last residency was conducted at Alexis Gallery Lagos Nigeria in 2022. 42" x 48"
