BID ON THE-SALEROOM
Two pairs of garnet ear pendants. The first pair each designed as a foil back garnet girandole with scrolling spacers, the second pair each designed as a pear-shape garnet cabochon suspended from a red gem surmount. Lengths 3.5 and 3cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Some antique components. Likely replacement gems, one pear-shape garnet ill-fitting, wear noticeable to some mounts. Smaller red gems unidentified, possibly paste, some with noticeable small chips. Garnets are foil back and appear a fairly well matched medium slightly purplish red hue, well saturated, with good clarity and typical inclusions. Garnets in good condition with minor abrasions. Hook and hinged fittings for pierced ears. Total weight 7.7gms. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
