BID ON THE-SALEROOM
Two mid Victorian gem-set brooches. Each of rectangular outline, to include a split pearl and garnet memorial brooch, together with a split pearl brooch. Lengths 2 and 2.3cms.
Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear. Split pearl gem with central vacant mount. Replacement clasp and pin. Garnets are in closed settings, presumed foil back. Garnets appear a purplish red hue. Split pearls fairly well matched, some imitation and possible further replacements, discolouration. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
