Two late 19th century Scottish brooches. The first of circular outline with inlaid agate detail, the second of shaped marquise-shape outline with central oval-shape orange paste to the inlaid banded agate surround. First with one replacement resin inlaid section. Lengths 5 and 5.2cms. Weight 40.5gms.
The overall condition of this lot is good to fair, with surface marks to the metal in keeping with wear and age. The paste and agate have surface scratches. The circular brooch has one significantly chipped agate. Tarnish to both.
