Two late 19th and early 20th century gold split pearl and gem-set brooches. To include a late Victorian 15ct gold sapphire and split pearl bar brooch, circa 1890, together with an early 20th century 9ct gold split pearl foliate brooch. Lengths 2.5 and 4.4cms. Total weight 8.3gms.
Overall condition fair to good. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear. Small area of soft solder to the reverse of bar brooch. Split pearls well matched creamy yellow hue. Sapphire is a light medium blue hue, good clarity and typical inclusions. Stones in good condition with minor abrasions. Noticeable dents to the foliate brooch, appears uneven. Safety chain attached to loop, possible surmount deficient, may be worn as a pendant. Split pearls well matched, moderate wear. Foliate brooch stamped 9ct, diameter 2.5cms. Weight 4.6gms. Bar brooch Stamped 15ct to afixed panel, length 4.4cms. Weight 3.7gms.
