Two early twentieth century silver mounted photograph frames of oval form, the first plain in outline and hallmarked Birmingham 1918, height measuring 5 1/2 inches (14 cm), the second with engraved initials and engine-turned decoration, hallmarked Birmingham 1927, height measuring 7 7/8 inches (20 cm). Together with a smaller, later photograph frame of plain circular shape, hallmarked London import 1979. (3).
All three frames appear in a well used, worn and damaged condition in need of attention. All display general surface scratches, marks and tarnishing and also many dints and knocks. Both the oval frames have wooden backs with considerable damage. A large section of the edge is missing on the larger frame. On the smaller example, there are splits and a smaller piece missing in addition to the easel section. The hallmarks to all three are mostly clear and legible.
