Two early 20th century gold gem-set brooches. To include a 14ct gold oval garnet cabochon bar brooch with pearl and rose-cut diamond star, together with a 14ct gold pearl and circular-shape ruby stylised knot brooch. One rose-cut diamond deficient. Lengths 5.7 and 3.8cms. Weight 10.3gms. Pearls untested.
Overall condition good. Minor surface scratches/wear in keeping with general age and wear. Garnet cabochon has good colour saturation. The pearl has blistered surface. The diamond point detail is quite bright. One is missing. Rubies have medium red to pink, fairly well saturated, with moderate clarity and typical inclusions. Pearl has blistered surface. Stones in fair condition with some abrasion and minor nibbles to the girdle and facet edges. Knot brooch stamped 585. Please see the Important Notices for Purchasers for coloured gemstones.
