Two early 20th century diamond and gem-set brooches. To include an alternating square-shape emerald and old-cut diamond line brooch, together with a Martin Mayer green paste circle brooch. One with marker's marks for Martin Mayer. Estimated total diamond weight 0.10ct. Lengths 2.6 and 3.7cms. Weight 5.2gms.
Overall condition good to fair. Surface scratches in keeping with general age and wear. Emeralds have light surface scratches and nibbles to the facet edges. Paste have moderate surface scratches and chips. Individual size and setting of diamonds prevents accurate colour and clarity assessment. The diamonds are bright.
